Uche Secondus asks INEC to disqualify President Buhari

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) wants the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to disqualify President Muhammadu Buhari for the presence of Nigeriens in his presidential campaign rally in Kano.

Secondus, at PDP presidential campaign rally in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, yesterday, described Buhari’s Kano rally as the worse because of the presence of people he called mercenaries, from Niger and Chad, at the rally.

“We ask that INEC should disqualify Buhari for bringing mercenaries to influence elections in Nigeria,” he said.

He called on the people to vote massively for PDP and warned INEC not to rig the forthcoming general elections.

Ebonyi State governor Dave Umahi dispelled the rumour that he was working against the candidature of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and promised to deliver the state to PDP.

“Let me assure our visitors and the leadership of PDP, especially at the national level that Ebonyi State is PDP and PDP is Ebonyi State. We have never had another party in the state and PDP in the state has performed.

“So, we want to assure you that by the reason of what God has started in Ebonyi State, we will massively vote PDP. Ebonyi State will vote for Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi. Ebonyi State will vote for all the National Assembly members, they will vote for me and all house of assembly members.

“Let me ask mischief makers, those who are doubting the authenticity of Ebonyi State as the headquarters of PDP in the country, they should go and deliver their state. They should leave us alone,” Umahi challenged.

Atiku who described Ebonyi State as loyal PDP state, said this is the best time for South East because the vice presidential candidate is from the zone.

He promised that Ebonyi will never again be marginalized by the Federal Government.
