Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has entered the record books after becoming the first player to be named Premier League Player of the Month on three occasions in the same season.

A historic season for the Egyptian forward continues with a staggering 39 goals across all competitions, including 29 in the Premier League.

That contribution saw him clinch another Premier League gong, adding to the honours he has already collected in November and February.

The former Roma and Chelsea winger told the Premier League’s official website on his history-making achievement: “I feel good to win it again, we had good results in the month so that’s the most important thing.”

With 29 Premier League goals already, the talismanic Egyptian is on the cusp of breaking the Premier League record of 34 goals a season.

“I’m very proud to see myself fighting to break the record for the Premier League. I’m thinking about each game. That’s my target, I want to score, I want to help the team to win again.

“It’s still five games to go, there’s a big chance, let’s see.”

Meanwhile, Burnley boss Sean Dyche was named the Manager of the Month for March after the Clarets collected nine points from three outings against Everton, West Ham and West Brom to leave them seventh and in the hunt for European qualification.
