CSKA Moscow of Russia striker Ahmed Musa has boasted ahead of his team’s Round of 16 Europa League clash against Lyon scheduled for Thursday in Moscow that he will start scoring again.
The Nigeria international, who has been invited by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for the two World Cup build-up games against Poland and Serbia, told bobsoccer.ru on Wednesday that he will continue to work hard.
“I am sure that I will start to score soon. I work, I try very hard to make this happen as soon as possible. The most important thing is to score the first goal, then things will go better right away,” the former Kano Pillars striker, who is yet to officially open his goals account since returning to Moscow, said.
“It will be very heavy matches, and for us, and for our rivals. We expect to come out successfully. Ahead of the home game, I think we are well prepared for it.
“Yes, it is important. You need to win in your field. Ideally, I would like to win without conceding.”
Musa is on loan at CSKA Moscow from Leicester City for the rest of the season.
