Get over break up

Get over break up

We all go through it at least once in our life- breakups. Whether it was mutual, civil, or rough break up, it still hurts. There’s nothing wrong with still being friends with your ex, but when it’s time to get over him, it’s time. Here are some tips to get over it.

POSITIVE ATTITUDE

Sure, break ups are a sucky situation, but 90 percent of the time it’s always your attitude that’ll make a world of a difference. Just because someone broke up with you doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with you as an individual. It just means you two weren’t meant for each other. Just understand your strengths and weaknesses, and don’t beat yourself up over a break up. The world does go on. Build your self-confidence with a positive attitude. Trust me; a smile is far prettier on you than a frown.

READING

Books are a great escape from life. It alters your current view on life and reality. Find a book you’ll enjoy, and when you’re feeling down, just pull out your book. Reading allows you to escape reality and walk into the author’s mind. Metaphorically of course, reading is a journey, and it’ll help you get away from a nasty breakup.

FOCUS MORE ON SCHOOL OR WORK

Just because your relationship didn’t work out for you doesn’t mean your education shouldn’t either. Don’t let boys get in the way of school. Distract yourself with hard work ethic and progress in school. There is no better feeling than the feeling of success. You can build a confident woman out of yourself by doing well in school or work.

BOOKS

Books are a great escape from life. It alters your current view on life and reality. Find a book you’ll enjoy, and when you’re feeling down, just pull out your book. Reading allows you to escape reality and walk into the author’s mind. Metaphorically of course, reading is a journey, and it’ll help you get away from a nasty breakup.

WORK OUT

Working out allows you to release some stress and even help with depression. Not that you should be depressed because of a break up, but if by that logic, it can definitely cure a heart break. Going to the gym is not only a distraction, but a good way to release tension or stress. Working out also allows your body to release a chemical called dopamine which does have correlation to your overall well-being. Plus, don’t you want to be the hottest ex-girlfriend he’ll ever have? I’m sure by the end of it, he’ll be begging for your newly toned body.

FRIENDS

Look to your friends for comfort and advice. If they’re truly your friends, they should know to have ice cream and movies at your doorstep. Just kidding, but friends are always there to cheer you up and make you feel better. Go out on a girl’s night out to distract yourself from your emotions. I’m sure they’ve all gone through heart breaks at one time or another so they’ll know what you’re going through. Plus who needs boys when you have the best friends around?

CHANGE YOUR HAIR

Many girls believe that if they change their haircut, it’s a new chapter of their lives and themselves. Hence, “New hair- new me!” This is a great way too just get a fresh start in dating and in relationships. You can cut your hair short or maybe add on some bangs. If you really don’t want to go to that extreme, look at easy hair styles you could try online. Dye your hair or maybe a simple trim to make yourself feel more pampered. This will also boost your self esteem.

CHANGE YOUR WARDROBE

Now if you don’t want to change your hair, changing your wardrobe is another alternative. A new wardrobe is a new you, so why not try it out? Changing your wardrobe can make you feel like a whole other person. I also don’t know any girl who wouldn’t want to go shopping. Maybe you don’t want to change your entire wardrobe; another thing you could try is investing in something you’ve been wanting for a long time. For example, a watch, you could save up and buy it for yourself because you deserve it.
