Photos that show some students at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) reading at night with ‘ATM light’ have caused a stir online.
According to students of the university who shared the pictures online:
The ATM is used for withdrawing cash and for money transaction but in Great Ife, the ATM has other uses.
Here is another photo of OAU Students seen reading with ATM during exam period.
This mostly happens when there is a power outage on campus. But luckily, the ATM stand does not depend on external source of power as it has its own inbuilt battery which emit light rays from the ATM machine. In which the students maximized.
The students seen using the light from the Automated Teller Machine to read their books did so because they were preparing for their exams and there was a blackout on the campus.
The Obafemi Awolowo University is a federal government owned and operated Nigerian university. The university is in the ancient city of Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria.
