Folarin Falana better known by his stage name Falz The Bahd Guy has just released his fourth album tagged “Moral Instruction”.
There is so much excitement following the release of Falz’s Moral instruction project on Tuesday, January 15th. The rapper dishes his versatility with this album to dissect every areas of Nigeria’s societal defects.
The album contains eight ‘smoking hot’ tracks which lasts for 24 minutes. Each track sends a clear refreshing message that talks about issues you can relate with or familiar with. He features guest acts like Demmie vee, Chillz and top producer, Sess.
Falz appears to be the legendary Fela lyrically in Hip-hop theme, tackles several arms and organizations of the country ranging from religious, to non-religious organizations. Falz made emphasis on political issues on Talk to express his vexations using words like ‘election don dey come they go need your support’, ‘4 year tenure 3 year holiday’ to achieve the obvious reference of leaders flying out for medical excuses and others. Amen also highlighted pastor to congregation affairs using these lines ‘na congregation money but they no go see percentage’, ‘person wey I fight for go turn around and fight me’ using Fela’s voice in the background which actually caught fans love for the music. On his previous album, 27, Falz largely discussed about ‘slut-ladies’ and ‘Yahoo-boys’ which now shows he is intentional and set out to achieve his uniqueness to immoral societal activities.
Demmie vee’s touch on Hypocrite was dope for real but didn’t sit well lyrically. However, trust me this song will always be on repeat.
The 2 minutes 36 seconds Follow Follow is just talking about the ones who try to feel among on social media even if they have to squeeze themselves to do that. Johnny, E No Finish, After All Said And Done, are actually cool songs that you will love to have on your playlist.
Falz is accompanied by the problem kid producer, Sess on Brother’s Keeper as he takes on the chorus. This tune rhymely talks about the selfish Nigerians who do the extreme to make money and do not care about the repercussion on the economy. In his words are ‘ I no dey send why? I carry tanker enter road even when I know say the traffic e bad any crash e go explode’.
Lets now talk about Paper which is my favorite track of the album. Chillz jumped on the chorus with his baritone voice and dispersed a self-explanatory message ‘see danger, no go loose your center all because of paper’.
Moral Instruction is a great project from the 28 year-old rapper, a Fela inspired masterpiece which talks about societal ills ensuring every listener relate with each issues addressed at this very important time in the country.
