Holders Akwa United continued their impressive run in the Aiteo Federation Cup following a 5-2 win against Bet9ja Nigeria National League side, Aklosendi FC in their Round of 32 encounter at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu, on Sunday, reports Completesportsnigeria. com.
Aklosendi shocked the Promise Keepers when they took the lead through Aruna Sule in the eighth minute but Akwa United replied with four goals from Micheal Ibe.
Ariwachukwu Emmanuel scored the fifth goal for Akwa United, while Shehu Zabed got Aklosendi’s other goal.
Former champions Enugu Rangers recorded a 3-0 win against Kebbi United in Abuja.
Ugochukwu Ugwuoke hit a brace with Chidera Eze netting the other goal for the Flying Antelopes.
Veteran midfielder, Rabiu Ali scored a brace as Kano Pillars edged out Sokoto United 2-0, while Abia Warriors
also defeated Crown FC 3-1 in Warri.
Obi Samson, Kola Raimi and Ndifreke Effiong
