The Super Eagles will develop to become Africa’s first World Cup semi finalists at Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, former Nigeria international Tijjani Babangida tells
Speaking with CSN in Katsina, Babangida reiterates that the Super Eagles is a young team that can progress into a strong force capable of dominating Africa again and going far at the next World Cup in Qatar.
“I see this set of Super Eagles maturing into a very good side that will dominate the game, the continent and culminating into a solid outing at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. I see this Eagles developing into a feared side in little time from now” the former Ajax Amsterdam winger told CSN.
“If the team remains together with a long term coaching crew, I see no reason why the Eagles will not cause some stirs at the World Cup in Qatar. The team is still work in progress and the NFF must plan well to ensure they reach their fullpotential.
“To reach their full potential, the Super Eagles must also ensure qualification for the 2019 AFCON in order to continue their development. The NFF must also get the team to play grade A friendly games, to give the young squad the needed exposure.”
