No fewer than 30 houses and shops have been burnt down in Maje Community in Suleja Local Government Area of Niger State after a petrol-laden tanker exploded.
The incident occurred late Thursday in what eyewitnesses said was a result of a brake failure in the tanker.
After the reported brake failure, the petrol-laden tanker was said to have collided with three vehicles before it rammed into the shops and exploded.
Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), however, said no life was lost in the inferno.
