Frank Lampard dumped his former Coach, Jose Mourinho, out of the Carabao cup yesterday at Old Trafford. His side, Derby County, were the better side of the contest with their impressive style of play.
They showed real character and determination even when they were trailing Manchester united by a lone goal before finally getting the equalizer and also took the lead.
His impressive style of play has gotten football lovers taking on social media with some asking ‘how long does Jose Mourinho needs to create a playing style when Lampard has already hit the ground running in just three months.’
See what they said below:
Frank Lampard has had 3 months to get his team playing a style of football they know like the back of their hands.
Mourinho has had 3 years, 5 transfer windows, and we still don’t know our best 11, formation, philosophy, or style of play. How is that acceptable?— Mark Goldbridge (@markgoldbridge) September 25, 2018
If you’re telling me Frank Lampard can turn up at Old Trafford managing Derby and outclass Mourinho and you’re still defending him, I’m speechless.

An incredible night to be a Chelsea fan.
Frank Lampard, in his 1st season as a manager, beating Jose Mourinho & United in penalties.
Mason Mount, the don, looking like he belongs & then some. While Gareth Southgate was also there to watch him. Immense future.

The biggest kick in the teeth tonight is that Frank Lampard has been at Derby for two months and has his players well drilled and playing with a style. Mourinho has been here for over TWO YEARS and you still have no idea what we’re doing. It’s beyond a joke now.
