The singer took to her Instagram today to reveal she is expecting her first baby with her partner. “I’ve always been very open with you all about my personal adventures & accomplishments,” said the Ring singer in the post in which she also shared her photos from a recent maternity shoot. “This was the HARDEST to hide.”

i’ve always been very open with you all about my personal adventures & accomplishments… this was the HARDEST to hide. if you know me, you know i’ve dreamt about motherhood since i was very young. when asked what my goals are, it’s always the idea of a big healthy happy family & whatever comes along is a plus . i am so honored to be given this gift by spirit, creator, and an amazing partner whom i trust with my body and life. i knew sharing something so personal and precious could bring stress into my world but there isn’t a word anyone would say my way that could take away from this. dearest little girl, i am so proud to be your mommy. i am so proud to have received you. i cannot wait to meet you, i know you will be 50,000 times more special than i can even imagine at this moment. i am happy to document this journey and feel the freedom any pregnant person should. i’m looking forward to sharing my little world with you all… my partnership with my very best friend and lover, our journey of conception, my choice for a natural home birth with my AMAZING midwives at @parteramidwifery and eventually… the little pumpkin! i am now a HOME. 4 months and counting with you, angel of mine. And during the latest episode of Nicki Minaj‘s Queen Radio, she revealed that she and her partner had wild baby making sex to conceive their little girl. “It was bomb and we did have a lot of it, we practiced a lot. We had a short time frame to get pregnant so we had a lot of it,” Kehlani spilled.
About her past relationship with a female, Kehlani said: “We were friends first and then we became partners, that’s not something you do right away. But if that was one of our wishes in the future we might be open to that.”
About how she felt when she discovered her pregnancy, she said: “I was three weeks [along] when I found out I was pregnant. I feel like this baby was already coming into my life, because it only took us to my first cycle of ovulation. I’m real fertile! I haven’t named her yet but we have a list, but I’m sure if we decide on something we will break it right away.”
About marriage, she said: “That’s something I have to think about over time, I think we’re both still understanding what marriage means to us, but it’s definitely something we’ve discussed. We love each other, but taking it to the government is a whole other level.”
