Enyimba rallied back from a goal down to earn a 1-1 draw against Plateau United in their Aiteo Federation Cup Group A clash at the Pantami Stadium Gombe on Thursday,
Hamza Owolabi gave Plateau United the lead in the 32nd minute of the highly entertaining encounter.
Sunday Adetunji equalised for Enyimba in the 53rd minute. It was Adetunji’s second goal in the group stages of the competition.
Earlier in the day, Katsina United bounced back from the 1-0 loss to Enyimba in their first game by edging out Bet9ja Nigeria National League outfit, J Atete 4-2.
Timothy Danladi scored two spot-kicks for Katsina United, while Tasiu Lawal and Obinna Eleje got the other goals for the Chanji Boys.
Endurance Edibiri and Tony Esukuseidi were on target for J Atete.
Plateau United top the group with four points, same number of points with Enyimba who have inferior goal difference. Katsina United are third with three points, while J Atete have no point.
