Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo, was on target as Changchun Yatai defeated 10-man Guizhou Zhicheng 3-0 in a Chinese Super League clash at the Changchun’s People Stadium, Changchun on Saturday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
It was Changchun Yatai’s first win in four league outings following a draw and two defeats from their previous three games.
Ighalo who was also on target in Nigeria’s 3-0 win against Seychelles in a 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture last weekend opened scoring for his side in the 36th minute from the penalty spot.
Nemanja Pejčinović and Adrian Mierzejewski scored the other goals for Changchun Yatai.
Ighalo has now scored 17 goals in 22 league appearances for his club this season.
The former Watford striker is now the second joint top scorer in the Chinse top flight this season along with Guangzhou R&F’s Eran Zahavi.
Wu Lei of Shanghai SPIG top the scorer’s chart with 20 goals.
