Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho is delighted to see the the side scale through into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup and has thanked the fans for their support following Tuesday’s 3-1 penalty shoot-out win against their hosts Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux Stadium,
Both sides battled to a 0-0 draw after 90 minutes of thrilling football action in the third round fixture.
Iheanacho who came in as a substitute for Jamie Vardy a minute after the hour mark converted the final penalty for the Foxes to hand them victory in the game.
His international teammate, Wilfred Ndidi was rested for the game.
He took to Twitter to express his joy on his side’s win, offered thanks to the travelling fans for their tremendous support and offered his support for Demarai Gray who picked up an injury in the game.
“Great support from our fans. On to the next round, Well done to the hero of the day, Danny Ward, wish my bro @22Demarai Quick recovery 🙏,” Iheanacho tweeted.
