Bayern Munich passed up the chance to make it two wins from two champions league matches after they threw away a goal lead to share the spoils at home to FC Ajax. The Bavarians had taken an early lead inside 5 minutes through a world class Matts Hummel’s header and Ajax were thought to be in for some battering but they pulled level 18 minutes later.
The match went on to end 1-1, without any further goal from both teams. The German champions have now gone three matches in all competitions without a win.
Bayern Munich’s defender, David Alaba, who played the entire 90 minutes for the Bavarian is not happy with the result. He took to social media at the end of the match to air his frustration.
See what he said:
After a good start we made too many mistakes against a strong opponent. In the end it wasn‘t enough to get this win in the #UCL. Nevertheless your support was amazing again. Thank you 🔴🔴🔴 #MiaSanMia #da27 pic.twitter.com/6tzSfiQe4l
